Mail-In-Ballot
- An elector qualified to vote but with reason to believe they
will be unable to vote at an advance poll or on polling day
may apply to vote by mail-in-ballot.

- Include a copy of your band card or AANDC official membership letter
- Return the application by:
- Mail (Not recommended)

- On reciept of the mail-in-ballot:
- Cast your vote
- Place marked ballot in an envelope marked "BALLOT"
- Seal the envelope marked "BALLOT"
- Place the "BALLOT" envelope inside an envelope marked "DECLARATION"
and containing the following words on the face of the envelope:
I, , hereby declare that this
envelope contains a mail in ballot that I have marked.

- Seal the "DECLARATION" envelope and place it in the return envelope.
- Seal the return envelope and mail or deliver it to the electoral officer.

- The Electoral Officer (EO) or Deputy Electoral Officer (DEO) will confirm your name on the Electors' List, (If you are not on this list you will not be permitted to vote!) then provide you a ballot.
- The EO or DEO may request ID (Bring ID!)
- The EO or DEO may explain the voting to you, and must do so if you ask.
- Enter the voting booth and cast your vote. (Marks made on the ballot that could identify you will cause that ballot to be rejected.)
- Fold the ballot to conceal the names of the candidates and the marks on the face of the paper, but leave the initials of the EO/DEO exposed/visible. The EO/DEO will (without unfolding the paper) verify his/her initials and immediately deposit the vote.
Any ballot that has been accidentally ruined may be turned in to the EO/DEO, and the voter is entitled to obtain a new ballot.
